I designed this table lamp as a tribute to my parents. I grew up in a village in the interior of Granada but my father, who was born in the Canary Islands, always cared about having fresh fish at home. His speciality, and my favourite dish to this day, was -boquerones en harina- – anchovies coated in flour. Tasting them always takes me back to my childhood: the weekend sun caressing the windows and my father's classical music echoing throughout the house. Music, light and anchovies feel integral to me.
This lamp sheds a light reminiscent of olden times, imbued by the nature of the sea.
